Being thankful

On the second morning of our honeymoon, I was still in the “honeymoon” frame of mind. Unfortunately, my new bride was not in the same frame of mind at six in the morning. I attempted prodding her a few times until she finally rolled over and said, “If you touch me with that again, I am getting a divorce.” She rolled back and went to sleep.

Most husbands might be upset that their new bride would use the word divorce so early in a marriage never mind the honeymoon. I looked at it a bit differently. Dating her was fun, the engagement was nice, and the wedding party was a blast. If the marriage ended suddenly, I figured that I had a good run.
